Who we are
Matckon Construction Services(“MATCKON”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are a construction company based at EY-40, Teacher Sackey Street, New Ningo, Ghana (GhanaPost GPS GN-0344-3924). To contact us about this policy or your data, email info@prideofghana.co.site.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic data needed to run the site well:
- Enquiry details from the quote form: your name, email address, and the project information you provide (project type, services, budget range, location, timeline and your message).
- Estimator inputs from the cost estimator: your name, email address, and the build details you select (building type, size and finish level).
- Analytics data (only if you accept cookies): anonymous usage data such as pages visited and general location, through Google Analytics.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and we do not collect any payment details on this site.
Client portal data
Some clients are given access to a private project portal. If you use it, we hold the information needed to show you your build:
- your project details (name, location, build stages and progress notes);
- photos, videos and documents of your project;
- a display-only account ledger (what has been invoiced and paid); and
- any messages you send us through the portal.
The portal has no public sign-up. You reach it through a private link and a password we share with you. Your photos and documents are stored privately and are shown only through temporary links after you sign in, so they are not publicly accessible. The portal is visible only to you and to MATCKON staff, and search engines are asked not to index it.
We keep this information for as long as we are working on your project and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. You can ask us to remove your portal data at any time using the contact details below.
How we use your data
We use your information only to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or cost estimate;
- email you the estimate breakdown you requested;
- contact you about your project and follow up on your enquiry;
- understand how the site is used and improve it (only with your consent).
We do not sell your personal data or use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Our legal basis
Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), we process your enquiry and estimator details because you have asked us to respond and to take steps toward a possible agreement, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving our business. We process analytics data only with your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and analytics
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) load only after you accept them through our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and you can still use the whole site and contact us. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run this site, and only so they can perform that service for us:
- our email provider, to deliver enquiry notifications and your estimate;
- our website host, which operates the servers this site runs on;
- our database and file-storage providers, which securely hold client portal records and project media (used only if you have portal access);
- our analytics provider (Google), only if you have accepted analytics cookies.
Some of these providers operate outside Ghana, so your data may be processed abroad. We use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for your information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and estimate details only as long as we need them to respond to and service your project, and for our legitimate business records, after which we delete them. Analytics data is retained for a limited period by our analytics provider.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data where we no longer need it;
- object to how we use your data, or withdraw consent you have given.
To exercise any of these, email info@prideofghana.co.site. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
Children
This site is intended for adults and for business enquiries. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. When we do, we will update the date above, so please check back from time to time.
