Returns and refunds
This applies to anything bought through this website. It sits on top of your rights under Ghana’s Electronic Transactions Act 2008 (Act 772) — it never replaces them, and nothing here can take them away.
Changed your mind: 14 days
You can cancel a boxed item within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, without giving one and without a penalty. Tell us, send it back unused and in the condition it arrived in, and we refund you.
The only cost you carry is the direct cost of returning it — the courier or the trip. That is the limit the Act sets, and we do not add to it.
Made for you: the exception
Fitted kitchens, wardrobes, media walls, panelling and anything else cut to your measurements are made to your specification, and the Act excludes those from the change-of-mind window (s.49(4)(f)). A run of units sized for one room cannot be resold, and we start cutting once you approve the survey.
That is why fitted work is surveyed and quoted before anything is made, why you approve the drawings, and why only a deposit is taken up front. None of it affects your rights below if the work is faulty.
If it is faulty, damaged or not what we described
This is separate from changing your mind and is not limited to 14 days. If something arrives damaged, fails, or is not what the page said it was, tell us and we will repair it, replace it or refund it. Photographs help, and you do not need the original packaging.
For fitted work, the same applies to the installation as to the units: if it is not right, we come back and put it right.
If we cannot supply it
If something you have paid for turns out to be unavailable, we tell you as soon as we know and refund you in full within seven days of telling you. That is the Act’s deadline (s.48) and we hold ourselves to it.
How we refund
Refunds go back the way the money came — to the card or the mobile money wallet that paid — within 14 days of us receiving the returned item or agreeing the refund.
Your card was charged in Ghana cedis, so a refund is made in cedis too. If you paid with a card issued outside Ghana, your own bank converts both ways at its own rate, so the amount that lands may differ slightly from what left. That difference is your bank’s, not a deduction by us.
How to start one
Email info@prideofghana.co.site with your order reference — it begins MK- and is on your receipt — and what you want to do. You can also send it through the contact form.
